More and more ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee options are popping up in grocery stores every day, particularly in the iced coffee and cold brew coffee space. These RTD drinks have longer shelf lives than whole bean coffee and are one of the most convenient ways to get a quick, and often delicious coffee fix.

Currently, I use 4 rating categories when reviewing RTD coffee drinks: Price, Taste, Ingredients, and Availability.

Typically I see RTD drinks in the $3-5 range. To me, $3 is considered a great price (depending on size, of course). RTD drinks that are more than $4 will get lower scores in this department.

Simple and natural ingredients warrant the highest scores in terms of ingredients. Lots of additives and you are no longer drinking coffee if you ask me, so an RTD like this would get a lower score.

I think this one is pretty straightforward.

If the RTD can be bought online or locally in many different stores, it’s a winner in terms of availability. Difficult to find? Outrageous shipping costs? Lower scores for these RTDs.
