In the chart below, I’ve compared what I believe to be the best BPA free coffee makers (from those that I’ve reviewed).

Please keep several things in mind:

  • Some of these coffee makers still contain plastics, BPA free or not.
  • Always double check with the manufacturer about the plastics used. This stuff can frequently change.
  • If you’re looking for an automatic drip coffee maker that never has water coming into contact with plastic, good luck. As far as I know, this doesn’t exist…and I’ve searched far and wide.
    • You could use a Technivorm or Brazen in conjunction with a Chemex or Hario, but you’d still have water coming in contact with a little bit of plastic.
